The Bluebell Park development for over-55s mixes people who need care with those who don’t, aiming to let people live independently as long as possible.

The whole site is dementia-friendly, from the furnishings to the ease of adapting all the rooms if residents’ needs change.

Working closely with PRP Architects and Bullock Construction, we helped develop the designs for the signage – externally this included halo-illuminated built-up aluminium lettering at the entrance to the site. Internally, each floor had colour-coded zones and flower themes on wall and window artwork together with wayfinding signs.

The site on Alamein Road, run by the Knowsley Housing Trust (KHT) housing association, includes 101 one-and-two bed apartments for rent and 21 shared ownership properties.
